Information We Collect
We collect several different categories of information when you use the Site, which include personal information and other information about you and your organization, information about how you use the Site, and technical information about your devices and software.
Through the Site you may request information from Wiland, including thought leadership content or Wiland news and updates. To enable this, Wiland will request that you submit personal information such as your name, phone number, postal address and email address. We may also collect other information such as your job title, your organization, the industry in which you work, and your content interests or preferences. We receive information from other sources, such as data partners, outside of the Site, which may include information about you or your organization and may be combined with information we collect through the Site in order to have a more complete view of Wiland’s clients and prospective clients. We collect your personal information through the Site in obvious ways through accurately-labeled forms and input fields.
In some instances, we may combine other types of information about you with personal information, such as deriving geographical location from your IP address and combining behavioral data about your usage of the Site with your name. If we combine other types of information about you with your personal information, we will treat the combined information as personal information.
We may also receive your personal information when it is submitted through our career center. This information may include your name, contact information, employment history and information about others such as personal references. You determine what information you may provide to us for these purposes. Through the job application process and our human resources function we may also collect and associate other information that you or third parties provide to us with the information you submit through the career center. You may also provide your personal information to us when exercising your advertising choices or submitting privacy or copyright complaints, as described below.
We collect certain non-personally identifiable information about you through the Site in various ways. For example, we collect information to enable us to identify you online across the internet on a non-personally identifiable basis. This information may be collected through cookies, web beacons or other technology that is not combined with personal information. We do not combine your personal information with your online behavior from other websites. We also collect information relating to your access to the Site and how you use it on a non-personally identifiable basis. For example, we collect information about how you use the Site such as the pages you visit, the time you spend on each page and with which content you interact as well as any search parameters you use. We also collect information about the hardware and software you use to interact with the Site such as your operating system, browser version, or whether you have certain browser add-ons enabled. This information may also include the unique id of your mobile device or your computer’s IP address or the location data associated with those identifiers.
How We Use and Share Information
Improve Products and Services. We may use your personal information to evaluate and improve our products, services, marketing and business processes.
Advertising Choices and Complaints. We use personal information submitted through our advertising choices page or through our privacy or copyright complaint procedures only to give effect to the consumer advertising choices, to investigate and respond to complaints and to improve the Site and our products, services, marketing and business processes in light of the complaints.
Employment Inquiries. We use personal information submitted through our career center for our recruiting and employment purposes. Please see the Wiland Career Center section of this policy for additional details.
Legal Process. We will comply with applicable law and legal process even if it requires that we disclose personal information. However, we will seek to make all required disclosures in accordance with applicable law. If we consider it advisable, in order to ensure the safety or security of others or to avoid fraud or harm to our business or systems, we may disclose your personal information to the extent necessary to mitigate the threat.
Corporate Transactions. If all or part of the company is sold, merged or otherwise transferred to another entity (including in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceedings), previously collected personal information may be transferred to the relevant third party.
We may use, transfer, and disclose types of information that we collect through the Site other than personal information for any purpose, except where applicable law requires otherwise. These uses may include, among other things:
- helping us better understand your user experience while on the Site and helping us improve and develop the Site and Site content
- facilitating advertising across the web for Wiland and for third parties
- improving our products, services, marketing and business processes

Do Not Track Signals: This Site does not respond to browser “do-not-track” signals or similar mechanisms.
Privacy or Copyright Complaints
The Site contains some content submitted by users such as comments to articles or blogs. We cannot exercise complete control over what is submitted by every user. As such, it is possible that another user submits personal information about you with or without your consent. If you believe that another user has violated your privacy by submitting content about you on this Site and you wish to have that content removed, please let us know . Clearly identify the offensive content along with your explicit request to take that content down and we will review your request and deal with the complaint as quickly as possible. We reserve the right to take down any material that we deem to violate a person’s privacy and any complaint that you may file helps us make a fair determination. We do not lightly curtail the expression of others, so we exercise discretion when deciding to remove such content. But vulgar, profane, or pornographic content is never appropriate. Similarly, the Site is not the place for personal attacks. We seek substantive content that is beneficial to other users.

We may send you surveys requesting your feedback regarding the Site or to contact you about our products and services. You should be aware that we may be required by law to contact you in certain circumstances. If you would like to opt out of email communications from Wiland, please use the link located at the bottom of the email you received or submit the request through our privacy contact form . Some non-marketing communications are not subject to general opt-out, such as communications related to product or service fulfillment or transactions and other support related information, Wiland events for which you have registered, disclosures to comply with legal requirements, and (where permitted by law) quality assurance surveys.
Wiland Career Center
Your provision of personal information in connection with our career center is voluntary, and you determine the extent of information you provide to Wiland; please note that if you decide not to provide information, it may affect our ability to consider you for employment.
The information you provide may be used to communicate with you, to manage Wiland’s recruiting and hiring processes, and for compliance with corporate governance and legal and regulatory requirements. If you are hired, the information may be used in connection with employment and corporate management.
We may share your personal information submitted through the career center internally and with service providers and other third parties as necessary in connection with recruiting, employment, corporate governance, acquisitions and legal or regulatory requirements, to respond to requests from applicable public and government authorities and for national security and/or law enforcement purposes. We require that our service providers and such other third parties keep your personal information confidential and that they only use the personal information in furtherance of the specific purpose for which we disclosed it to them.
We may retain your information to consider you for other job opportunities. To the extent permitted or required by law, we may delete information at any time; accordingly, you should retain your own copy of any information you submit to us. You are responsible for the information you provide or make available to us, and you must ensure it is honest, truthful, accurate and not misleading in any way. You must ensure that the information provided does not contain material that is obscene, defamatory, or infringing on any rights of any third party; does not contain malicious code; and is not otherwise legally actionable. Further, if you provide any information concerning any other person, such as individuals you provide as references, you are responsible for providing any notices and obtaining any consents necessary for us to collect and use that information as described in this policy.
Third Party Tools & Services
You may share or interact with content on the Site using a number of social media services, such as Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn. We offer these tools as a convenience to you and your social networks, and also because we hope you will share our content that you find useful with other parties. We cannot guarantee the security of these services. Your use of any such third party service is always subject to the terms and conditions of those parties and subject also to those parties’ privacy policies.
The Site may link to, include content from or integrate with websites or services from third parties. Examples of this might include social media sharing buttons on the Site (e.g. Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter share buttons), links to informative articles hosted on other websites and other third party sites or services. These third parties may collect information about your visit to the Site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any of these third party sites or services.
